San Diego Comic-Con 2025 Information FAQ

When is SDCC 2025?

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 will take place from Wednesday, July 23 to Sunday, July 27. The event kicks off with a Preview Night on July 23, giving badge holders an early look at the exhibit hall and select screenings. From July 24 to 27, the convention runs in full force with panels, signings, merchandise drops, cosplay showcases, and major announcements from leading entertainment studios.

Where is SDCC held?

The event is held at the San Diego Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown San Diego along the waterfront. This venue is the epicenter of Comic-Con, with Exhibit Halls, Hall H for major panels, Ballroom 20, and dozens of other meeting rooms. Surrounding the convention center are outdoor activations, themed pop-ups, and off-site events throughout the Gaslamp Quarter and Marina District.

Do you need a badge to enter?

Yes, a Comic-Con badge is required to access all indoor activities at the convention center. This includes the exhibit hall, major panels in Hall H and Ballroom 20, autograph sessions, and most official programming. Badge holders also receive a Comic-Con lanyard and bag, which are often collectible. Security checkpoints are stationed throughout the venue to verify badge access.

How much do badges cost?

Badges for SDCC 2025 are officially sold out now. Originally, prices ranged from $55 to $75 per day, depending on the day and access level. Preview Night access was available only as an add-on with a 4-day badge purchase. Due to limited availability and high demand, badges typically sell out within minutes of opening to the public. Reselling is discouraged and strictly monitored by Comic-Con International.

SDCC 2025 Exhibit Hall Highlights

If you have a badge, make time to explore the Exhibit Hall, where the biggest brands showcase their latest content and merchandise. Here are the top three booths drawing the most attention this year:

  1. Marvel Entertainment (Booth #2329)
Spider-Man, X-Men ’97, and Deadpool & Wolverine exclusives are featured alongside live sketching sessions and limited giveaways.
  2. Star Wars (Booth #2829)
Displays inspired by The Mandalorian and Ahsoka with Star Wars collectibles, props, and diorama installations.
  3. Mecha BREAK (Booth #140)
Making its debut appearance at SDCC 2025, Mecha BREAK is an upcoming multiplayer mech shooter turning heads with its massive booth. Fans can experience Ace Pilot challenges, AR face mapping, and live art sessions throughout the weekend. What Are the Most Anticipated Events in Hall H?

  1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
A first look at Season 2 of the hit Disney+ series, with appearances from the main cast and showrunners.
  2. The Simpsons, Futurama, and Bob’s Burgers Animation Block
A back-to-back animation showcase featuring sneak peeks, voice actor panels, and exclusive content from all three franchises.
  3. Star Trek Universe
Panel covering Starfleet Academy and Strange New Worlds, with surprise cast appearances and a possible trailer reveal.

✔️Tip: Hall H panels require early arrival—sometimes overnight camping—to guarantee entry. Check the schedule and plan ahead if you want to attend.
